Anthropic is funding open-source evaluations of how AI systems affect users during emotional support, companionship, and mental-health-crisis conversations, with applications due September 21. Grantees get direct funding, Claude access, and technical support, and Anthropic is pushing for clinical experts to be involved in designing the evaluations, not just AI researchers.
