HappyRobot hits $1.2B running phone-call agents
HappyRobot raised $150M as its AI agents handle freight calls, scheduling and emails for DHL, Uber and 150+ enterprise customers.
HappyRobot raised $150 million in a Series C led by Prysm Capital and co-led by Eurazeo, valuing the company at $1.2 billion and bringing total funding to roughly $200 million. Existing backers a16z, Base10 and Y Combinator joined, alongside strategics including Koch Disruptive Technologies, Orange and Deutsche Telekom’s T.Capital. The company says it has grown 5x since its Series B and now works with more than 150 enterprise customers, including DHL, Kuehne + Nagel, and Uber.
HappyRobot builds orchestration infrastructure that lets AI agents handle the phone calls, emails, scheduling and multi-step workflows that keep freight moving, the specific, unglamorous coordination work that logistics operators have struggled to automate with generic chatbots.
What it means for operators
The pattern worth noting isn’t the valuation, it’s what HappyRobot actually automated: a narrow, high-volume, voice-and-email-heavy workflow inside one industry, done well enough that DHL and Uber pay for it in production, the same specialization logic behind Together AI’s $800M round and the fresh wave of vertical AI-agent funding this week. If you’re evaluating build-versus-buy for an AI agent in your own operation, HappyRobot’s traction is evidence that a deep, boring, single-workflow agent beats a broad general assistant on both adoption and revenue, at least at this stage of the market.
