Spur Intelligence, founded in 2017 by former Defense Department engineers, raised $200 million from Insight Partners. The company identifies bot and agentic AI traffic hidden behind VPNs, residential proxies, and other anonymization infrastructure, arguing that automated, non-human traffic is now more active on the internet than genuine human users.
