Twitch trains Amazon's AI on your streams by default

Twitch added an opt-out toggle for AI training on channel content, but every streamer starts opted in unless they turn it off themselves.
Twitch added a setting on August 12 letting streamers opt out of having livestreams, VODs, clips, chat, and images used to train Amazon’s generative AI models, but every account starts opted in. Twitch’s chief product officer told The Information the default was chosen because “if it was opt-in, nobody would opt in,” drawing immediate backlash from streamers.
