Fortinet acquired Virtue AI, adding AI runtime protection, autonomous-agent red-teaming across simulated environments, discovery of unsanctioned AI apps, and scanning of MCP tools and source code to its Security for AI portfolio. The deal targets the attack surface created by enterprise models, prompts, agents, APIs and MCP tools.
