Huskeys raises $27M to police AI traffic

Blackstone led a $27M Series A for Huskeys, which sits in front of existing firewalls to tell legitimate AI agent traffic from attacks in real time.

Israeli startup Huskeys closed its Series A on September 2: $27 million, with Blackstone Innovations Investments in the lead spot, taking the company’s total funding to $35 million and its valuation past $100 million. Skinos Ventures, Zscaler Ventures, and Okta Ventures also put money in, alongside individual backers from Google, Microsoft, and Intel.

Huskeys operates in what it calls Network Edge Security Management, a layer that sits in front of the web application firewalls and edge services companies already run. Rather than replacing that infrastructure, it adds continuous posture assessment, dynamic policy generation, and “virtual patching,” which lets a security team mitigate a newly found vulnerability at the network edge within minutes while a permanent code fix goes through normal development. The pitch is that existing WAFs were tuned for human traffic patterns, not the mix of legitimate and malicious automated requests AI agents now generate.

That framing points at a specific number driving the round: agentic traffic, meaning requests generated by AI agents and other autonomous systems rather than people, is projected to reach 70% of internet traffic by 2027, and most edge security stacks have no reliable way to separate a legitimate agent’s request from an attack in real time. Huskeys joins a cluster of AI-agent-security startups raising this year, alongside AIR’s $50 million stealth launch the same week for a similar problem one layer up the stack, vetting the agents and plugins themselves rather than the traffic they generate, and Nvidia’s 50-plus-firm AI security alliance trying to standardize defenses across the industry. For any team already running customer-facing agents, both funding rounds are a signal that “we’ll extend our existing WAF rules to cover bots” is becoming a harder sell to security buyers than it was a year ago.
