OpenAI researcher in talks for $2B startup
Miles Wang is reportedly raising around $200M at a $2B valuation for an AI drug-repurposing startup, with Lightspeed said to be in talks to lead.
Wang, who joined OpenAI in 2024 after leaving Harvard, is departing to build a startup applying AI to find new uses for existing or previously failed drugs; several other OpenAI researchers may join him. Wang disputed the reported figures without offering corrected ones.
