onsemi to buy Synaptics in ~$7B AI deal
onsemi agreed to acquire Synaptics in an all-stock deal worth about $7B enterprise value, adding Edge AI compute and connectivity chips.
Announced June 25: onsemi will acquire Synaptics in an all-stock deal at roughly $7 billion enterprise value, exchanging 1.350 onsemi shares per Synaptics share, about a 19 percent premium. It folds Synaptics’ Edge AI compute, human-machine interface, and wireless connectivity into onsemi. Expected to close mid-2027.
