OpenAI hires its second revenue chief in a year

OpenAI named Dali Rajic Chief Revenue Officer on August 13, putting him in charge of its global revenue organization. The company says it now counts over a billion weekly active users and more than two million business customers across its products, double the business count from a year earlier. Rajic joins from Wiz, the cloud-security company Google acquired, where he was president and COO; before that he held similar roles at Zscaler and AppDynamics.

Rajic replaces Denise Dresser, who held the CRO role for roughly nine months after joining from Slack. The appointment lands amid a broader wave of OpenAI leadership turnover this year, including the departures of COO Brad Lightcap and AGI deployment CEO Fidji Simo.
