OpenAI published a set of customer results on August 12: a manufacturer cut a production-optimization task from six weeks to one day, an investment firm freed up more than 90% of salespeople’s time by running its sales process through agents end to end, and an energy producer says agent-assisted operations lifted output up to 5%, worth over $1 billion in added revenue. OpenAI also cites Codex usage growing more than 5x since the start of the year among customers building multi-agent engineering workflows.
