Cognizant becomes a top-tier Claude partner
Cognizant joined Anthropic's Global Premier Partner tier, training 30,000+ staff on Claude and citing a 40% cut in contract-review time for one client.
Cognizant and Anthropic expanded their partnership on July 27. Cognizant now holds the top Global Premier tier of Anthropic’s partner program and has folded Claude Code into its Flowsource engineering platform. Anthropic says more than 30,000 Cognizant associates have completed Claude training, and Cognizant is now building and selling Claude-based tools into manufacturing, life sciences and insurance clients.
Cognizant’s own numbers from deployments already live: a customer-experience portal delivered for a global manufacturer within six months, a contract-intelligence system that cut biopharmaceutical contract review time by up to 40% with better than 88% extraction accuracy, and a risk-navigation tool that lets insurance underwriters finish evaluations in minutes instead of hours, saving roughly eight hours a week per person. Cognizant CEO Ravi Kumar S framed the pitch this way:
AI capability is rising faster than enterprises can absorb it, and that gap is the defining problem of this moment.
What it means for operators
This is the same land grab behind OpenAI’s own partner network and AWS’s $1 billion forward-deployed-engineer org: every major lab and cloud provider now wants a certified layer of systems integrators shipping its model into enterprises that won’t build in-house. The 40% contract-review and 8-hours-a-week figures are Cognizant’s, not independently audited, so treat them as a directional benchmark rather than a guarantee, but they’re specific enough to actually test against your own pilot before you commit budget to a similar rollout. If a services vendor is pitching you Claude-based tooling and can’t produce numbers this concrete for your use case, that’s the gap worth pushing on.
