Cursor ships a full iPad app for agents
Cursor launched a native iPad app with a pinned sidebar, split-screen PR review, and Pencil markup, extending its iOS mobile-agent app to the bigger screen.
Cursor released a native iPad app on July 29, available on all paid plans, that builds on the iOS mobile-agent app it shipped in June. The layout is rebuilt around the tablet’s extra screen space: a pinned sidebar keeps multiple agent chats visible at once, and split-screen view lets a full code review sit open next to an active conversation with an agent.
The review experience is the headline feature. The updated review screen shows an entire pull request in one place, comments, CI checks, and approvals together, and lets a reviewer add or reassign reviewers, read through discussion threads, and prompt the agent directly to address a specific comment, all without opening a laptop. Apple Pencil support lets a reviewer draw directly on a screenshot or drop a comment pinned to an exact point in a diff. The release also adds Bitbucket and Azure DevOps support alongside the existing GitHub and GitLab integrations, plus the ability to track and act on multiple pull requests in a single session.
The app arrives a little over a month after SpaceX agreed to acquire Cursor’s parent company Anysphere in a $60 billion all-stock deal, alongside Cursor’s recent India-only budget pricing tier; none of it appears to have slowed Cursor’s shipping cadence.
The practical shift is that background coding agents increasingly assume a reviewer who isn’t at a desk.
