OpenAI names its first India MD
OpenAI named Prabhjeet Singh, Uber's outgoing India head, as its first India managing director. He starts in September 2026, reporting to APAC chief Kiran Mani.
OpenAI confirmed the hire on June 26, hours after Singh’s Uber departure went public. It is the company’s most senior on-the-ground role in India to date.
