Sikka's Hang Ten raises $32M for AI agents

Vishal Sikka, the former chief executive of Infosys and former chief technology officer of SAP, has a new company. Hang Ten Systems, based in Palo Alto, raised a $32 million seed round on June 24, led by Mayfield with participation from Aramco Ventures and angel investors including Jerry Yang. Mayfield is run by Navin Chaddha, a Stanford classmate of Sikka.

The company bills itself as an enterprise AI services firm resting on three pillars: agentic code generation, reusable AI skills, and domain expertise. The pitch is to change how large companies build, modify, and run their software, using agents that take a high-level instruction, break it into subtasks, and iterate with little human input. It says two customers, Siemens Gamesa and Fresenius, are already using it for what it calls AI-native project delivery.

What it means for you

The notable part is who is making the bet. Sikka ran one of the world’s largest IT-services firms, and his new company is aimed squarely at that industry’s model of throwing people at software projects. For an operator, it is another sign that agentic coding is being sold not as a developer tool but as a way to deliver whole projects.
