Salesforce and Anthropic launched Claudeforce, putting 37 prebuilt sales skills and live revenue data into Claude, backed by a $300M token deal.
Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce on August 26, an expanded partnership that makes Salesforce’s data, workflows, and governance controls directly accessible from inside Claude. The centerpiece is Salesforce in Claude, a plugin built on the same Agent Plugins standard several rivals agreed to in June, packing 37 prebuilt sales skills that let a rep or an agent reason over live revenue context, review deal health, prep for meetings, and update pipeline records without opening the Salesforce app. Salesforce is calling it an “AI CRO.”
The commercial terms are notable on their own: Salesforce plans to spend roughly $300 million on Anthropic tokens in 2026, on top of an existing $300 million equity stake it already holds in the company. Salesforce in Claude is live for select pilot customers now, with a broader open beta expected in September and more prebuilt skills arriving later this year.
What it signals
This is a bigger move than a typical integration. Salesforce spent years insisting its own Agentforce products would be the primary interface for AI-driven CRM work; putting the entire toolkit inside a competitor’s chat interface, and committing nine figures to that competitor’s token spend, reads as a concession that customers want to work from wherever their AI assistant already lives rather than switch apps. It follows Anthropic’s pattern of deep enterprise integrations, similar in spirit to Cursor’s own agent plugins for Google Workspace but at a much larger commercial scale, and it puts pressure on Microsoft and Google to strike comparably deep CRM tie-ins of their own rather than relying on shallow API connectors.
