Microsoft's record patch batch traced to AI
Microsoft fixed 570 vulnerabilities in July's Patch Tuesday, including two exploited zero-days, and credits AI-assisted discovery for the volume.
The two zero-days affect Windows Server privilege escalation and SharePoint, the latter under active exploitation per CISA. Microsoft says AI-assisted vulnerability research is surfacing previously dormant bugs in decades-old Windows components, and expects patch volumes to keep climbing as a result.
