Vint Cerf backs verifiable IDs for AI agents
Cerf is advising Innovation Labs on DNSid, a system linking AI agent identities to domain names so their actions can be traced and audited.
Cerf, recently departed from Google after 20 years, joined Innovation Labs on July 15 to help build DNSid, which uses cryptographic proofs tied to existing domain names to establish who is accountable for a given agent’s actions. Trials are underway with unnamed hyperscalers and identity companies.
